A letter to patients regarding our COVID-19-related policies and procedures

Dear Patients,

To best serve you, I work diligently to maintain a safe environment in which to

provide physical therapy services and to assure the optimal health of each of

you and your loved ones, myself, my family, and my staff.

The policies that follow reflect our best efforts to abide by the recommendations of the federal, state, local, and physical therapy governing agencies regarding the

operation of health care facilities in Maryland.

We will do our best to update the policies as changes occur and recommendations are clarified.

Although we all miss the healing connections enjoyed in our space, we will continue to schedule to minimize interactions between patients and non- treatment interactions with staff, and to ask each of you to continue to respect social distancing as best possible when encountering other patients, family and staff. This is to endeavor to keep all safe and respect each person and their family’s health care decisions.

I appreciate your assistance in helping us to navigate as best we can, the

continuing health care concerns associated with the COVID-19 virus. I am ever grateful and honored to be part of your health care team and healing journey.

Safety Policies & Procedures

At this time, we continue to require staff and patients to wear face masks in the office and sanitize hands before entering and exiting.

Prior to your visit, you will receive a reminder text that will serve to certify that…

  • The staff and their families are well and have not had any known COVID-19 exposure.  (We will call or text and cancel your appointment if there is any risk of illness.)
  • All office spaces and equipment are clean and disinfected
  • The staff will wear recommended protective equipment

Please call or text and reschedule your appointment if…

  • You have been ill, with fever, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, vomiting, or new loss of taste or smell in the previous 48 hours
  • You have had a possible COVID-19 exposure
  • You have received the COVID-19 Vaccination 48 hours prior to your appointment time (It has been found that hands on treatment can heighten the potential side effects of the vaccine.)

In preparation for your appointment, and upon arrival, we ask that…

  • You bring and wear a face mask
  • Use the provided hand sanitizer before entering
  • Leave your coat on the coat rack and grab a gown from the chair if needed
  • Drop payment on the marked plastic mat on the desk
  • Use the restroom to wash your hands, then proceed into the treatment room
  • Deposit any belongings or clothes in the clear bin provided
  • Don a gown and wait on the treatment table for Stacey

After treatment, prior to leaving, please…

  • Dress and leave the gown on the treatment table
  • Use the provided hand sanitizer in the room
  • Gather your belongings and exit immediately (Your receipt will be emailed to you.)
